manifesto for creating
a soft river as in, a slow dance. an etching as in, what is waiting to be found again? as in, sunning the hard thing softened. then asking their name. a well like, i got you. a holding place, an abundance shared, sustenance. my work is an intuitive guiding back to our collective(everything lived and living) origin stories. what is desiring of us? us pieced and parted through our human misguidings (call them systems, hierarchies, harmings, conventions, carceralities) my practice is curious: if i am of the earth and the earth of me, what does the land long for me to remember of being and healing? my visual, verbal, tactile languages live through the lens of “why?” of bridging, of swinging low and high. liminality. this practice is rooted in the tributary offering of the pendulum swing. i’m trying to articulate (or perhaps translate) between here, there, and somewhere i don’t know yet.
